Syracuse, New York

I visited Syracuse NY many times on business trips.  Syracuse is a city in Onondage County, New Youk, US.  It is the largest US city with the name “Syracus”, and is fifth most populous metropolitan city in New York.  This city has functioned as a major crossroads over the last two centuries, first between the Eric Canal and its branch canals.

We visited the Eric Canal Museum.  This is the only existing weight lock building in the United States.  It collects and conserves Canal material, and champions an appreciation and understanding of Eric Canal history.  This was the early trade routes of the Northwest utilized New York’s waterways.  The Eric Canal, established in 1817′ dug from Albany to Buffalo, from Hudson River to Lake Champlain, from Montezuma to Cayuga, and from Seneca Lakes; and from Syracuse to Oswego.  It has been renamed The New York State Canal System.

We visited the Destiny USA.  This is New York’s largest fully enclosed shopping, dining and entertainment destination.  This facility has over 250 stores, restaurants and entertainment facilities.  This place has retail and outlet stores.  It has a 40 mph go-cart racing, balancing ropes and bars, live music, theatres, and the Funny Bone Comedy Club.

We had many long working day, and wonderful relaxing dinners in Syracuse, New York.
