I traveled to many times for a five year period to attend the Defense Institutes of Security Operations Studies, located on the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, US.  Dalton is a village in Wayne County in northeast Ohio in the US.  The population is just over 2,000.  It is a sleepy and relaxing residential town.  This area is considered an untouched tourist area off the traditional Amish tourist path.  This area is also extremely clean and conveniently located to surrounding tourist areas.

On a weekend, we toured the National Aviation Hall of Fall.  This is a designated Learning and Research Center; where technology has been harnessed and created a world where the sky was no longer the limit.   This Hall of Fame honors those for their services to country, ingenuity,  courage, and visions.

We dined in the historic downtown Amish Staunton.  We shopped at FleaMarkets.  We spent a wonderful day as we visited Ohio’s Amish County, which includes arts and entertainment, golf, hunting, fishing, museums, and more.  We ate at the Amish Door Village Restaurant, bakery , Victorian Inn and shops, with excellent foods and wonderful hospitality services.

We gambled on the Grand Victoria Casino and Resort, located in Rising Sun, Indiana.  It is the finest diesel electric stern wheeler ever built, and permanently located on Indiana’s state border in the Ohio River.
